The Fall Opener is almost here
The Fall Opener is almost here. This year, due to the Labor Day holiday, we had to bump the Fall Opener up a little. The deadline to sign up will be August 21st at 10:00 PM and will run Aug. 25th - 29th and be limited to 120 participants (last year we had over 170). If you can't make this one there will be another opportunity in Ogden or Orem on Sept. 9th - 12th. Limit to two events but only one may be a skill division, 2nd event must be doubles or age. Cost will be Adults: $55.00 /1st event. $10.00/2nd event and a $5.00/event referee charge that you can get back by refereeing a match. Juniors (21 and under): $30.00 plus referee fee for 1 or 2 events (one entry must be juniors).

| Some of us have a very full calendar and need to put things on it more than a week in advance. I am at Marv Jensen often and did not find out the dates for this tourney until last week. Also, there were no sign-up forms until yesterday. Slightly frustrating. If we want people to get/stay involved in racquetball, we need to advertise. Last year we missed out on Kristen Bellows clinics because of late/no notice. | |

| with this new website design, the tournaments all appear on the right hand side of the screen. Its gonna be nice to see the next tourneys lined up there, and for the next few months. I'm gonna make sure that i get these onto my calendar, for the ones im gonna hit. soon, we should get the entire years tourney schedule, and can even plan further out than those 5 on the website. | |

| the fall opener starts today, around 4pm, i believe. I will be there to help out, and to play later in the evening. I will be trying to send out updates via twitter user http://www.twitter.com/utahracquetball. i'm looking forward to the season and hope that i can play better than last year. If not, i can get some good exercise. if not that, at least join in the community and enjoy myself. | |
