Fall Opener
Well we have the first tournament behind us now. The Fall Opener was a great success. The Open finals ended up with Brandon Gould vs Anthony Montanez.
Game one was close, Brandon was ahead until the end when Anthony made a comeback to end the game 13-15. Brandon comes into game two on fire and pulls it out 5-15. The tiebreaker was close all the way through and came right down to the wire with Brandon serving for the win at 10-9, Anthony sides out and scores the last two points to end it at 10-11.
Thanks to all of the board members who helped put this tournament together and run it. A special thanks to Marv Jensen Fitness Center and the staff there to allow us to tie up the courts for five days. For those of you that could not make this tournament to get your membership renewed, there will be another membership drive in Ogden and Orem the week of Sept 9th - 12th.
For those of you that played in the Fall Opener, you can still play in the Ogden or Orem tournament at a discounted price of $15 first event and $10 second event.
