2010 Utah Fall Opener
Hey All!!!
Here we go for the starting of another season. Hopefully you have been playing some throughout the summer and your game is ready to tear it up. We are planning on having three membership drives this year. The Fall Opener at Marv will be the first, August 24th - 28th. Second will be the Orem Membership Drive, Sept 8th - 11th. Third will be in Bountiful at the South Davis Rec. Center, Oct 6th - 9th. Entering in one of these three tournaments renews your membership for the year. The Fall Opener is at Marv Jensen Fitness Center, August 24th - 28th. This tournament brings a big draw so you WILL need to get signed up ASAP. We will cap it at 120 people and no late entries will be accepted. So, here are a few tips that will help you out in getting signed up.
1. Get in early. If you are a current member you may enter online at the link below BY 10 PM FRIDAY AUG. 20th.

If you go to enter online and your membership is expired. It will give you the option to renew your membership and continue with your entry. If you choose this option you will have to pay the membership portion with a credit card and bring your receipt with you when you check in and we will deduct the membership cost out of your entry. You must bring in the receipt.
2. If you are not a member or you are expired, you will need to call Mike @ 801 502-9526 or email me at inkmanvan@comcast.net by Noon Thursday Aug. 19th. If you call me after that I will be out of town with no access to my phone or email and you WILL NOT GET INTO THE TOURNAMENT.
3. You may mail or hand deliver your entry to Marv Jensen Fitness Center (10300 S. Redwood Rd. South Jordan, UT 84095) but it must be received by Friday Aug 20th.
4. No payment will be taken online or at the desk at Marv Jensen. All payment will be taken the first night you come to play. We will not be able to accept credit cards, please bring cash or check to pay for you entry. Cost is: Adults $55 for 1st event $10 for second event. Juniors (21 and under) $30 for 1 or 2 events. This price includes your membership for one year. If you enter online as a junior, enter a Junior discount coupon for $25 off for one event and $35 off for two events. There is also a $5 ref. charge per event that you can get back by refereeing a match.
TIME CONFLICTS: PUT THEM DOWN!!!! We will be playing doubles all night on Friday. If you can't play Friday or have a conflict on Friday, DON"T sign up for doubles. If you can't play Thurs, Friday and Sat. Don't sign up for this tournament.
5. You may enter two divisions but only one may be a skill division. Second event must be age or doubles. Women may enter Women's and a Men's skill division.
6. NEW THIS YEAR. We will be awarding 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in the Men's and Women's Open Divisions a free 1st entry into the next sanctioned tournament on the URA schedule. (not the next one you play in, but the very next tournament on our schedule. So if you don't play the next tournament on the schedule the prize will expire. Excludes State Doubles and Huntsman Games). Finalists (1,2 and 3) in those divisions in this tournament will get their first event in the Jordan Valley Fallout free.
7. On Saturday the 28th, we will have a BBQ at noon. All URA members are welcome even if you are not in the tournament.
